You know, you're kind of pathetic"

"Huh" you say, snapping back into reality.

Ruka, one of your closest and most brutally honest friends, continues "I just mean that you kind of resemble a little puppy who’s just been kicked."

"What? I still don't get what you're trying to imply."

"Unnie, you're kind of right. I mean look at him; he looks like the store just ran out of the candy he really wanted" Rora chimed in.

"Be nice girls, he's going through a rough time. He was just abandoned by his owner"

"What the hell Rita? I thought you were on my side. And what do you mean I was just abandoned by my owner. I'm not a puppy and I don't have an owner. Especially one who just abandoned me" you said while throwing your hands up in exasperation. Although your outburst was only met by a chorus of "Awwwwwws" from you’re not so helpful and not so nice friends: Ruka, Rora, Pharita, Asa, and Rami aka 5/7 of the infamous friend group "Babymonster" who you somehow had become friends with.

"Guys stop it. Stop calling me a sad little puppy and stop 'awwwing'"

"But you look so cute and helpless Y/N" Asa replied.

"What do you mean!? I'm just sitting her eating my lunch like a normal person."

"But you just look so sad without Ahyeon" Rami added.

"Can you all quit it? I'm serious. I know it's funny to joke and all; but I have the same feelings for all of you and Ahyeon."

"Woah relax Y/N. I mean we all like you as a friend; but I don't think any of us want to enter into some kind of polyamorous relationship with you" Rora said while fiddling with her hair.

"God damn it" you said while tilting your head back in frustration only to met by 2 dark brown doe shaped eyes.

"What's wrong Y/N?" the owner of said eyes said while taking the seat next to you.

"Nothing, just getting bullied by your friends again Ahyeon" you said with your eyes shut and head tilted back in frustration.

"Girls, we can't bully the only guy in our friend group. Who is going to hold the doors for us?" Ahyeon said while smirking.

"Not you too Ahyeon"

"You'll be fine Y/N. Stop being a big baby" Ahyeon replied while scooting her chair closer to you, which may or may not have caused your heart to beat a bit faster.

Sitting back up, you turn and see Ahyeon putting her hair up in a messy bun, which causes you to pause for a second. Since when did she look so beautiful, you think. I mean she has always been pretty, but something so simple as putting her hair in a bun causes your heart to skip a beat and for you to lose yourself in her beauty.

Not realizing you had been staring, Ahyeon looks and asks, "Is there something on my face?"

To which you reply with a very eloquent "Huh? Oh nothing, just zoned out"

This is met with a bunch of snickering from the peanut gallery aka the rest of Babymonster.

"Hey Y/N, I'm here too."

Turning to face the last member to sit down, "Hey Chiquita, what's up?"

"Nothing, I just wanted you to acknowledge since it seems you were too preoccupied when Ahyeon and I both sat down; but preoccupied with what? Hmmmm"

"Shut up Maknae" you reply while stealing one of her fries; but before you could eat it, it was promptly stolen from you by Ahyeon who plops it into her mouth.

"Don't steal from the Maknae" she says while chewing your stolen French fries.

"But" you start but quickly stop saying as she turns and gives you a look that says, "But what", which stops you in your tracks.

"So well trained" "I wonder how much it cost?" "Can I get one too?" you hear from the peanut gallery. Turning to tell them to shut up, you are met with 5 faces with shit eating grins.

"Pfft, whatever" you say as you start to eat your food.

The rest of the meal goes by relatively quickly. The girls chat and catch up with each other while you listen to their conversations and add in a few words here and there. You don't love to eat a bunch at lunch, so usually you have a good amount of food left on your plate, which is perfect in this scenario, as once Ahyeon finishes her food, she proceeds to start inhaling yours as well; but since she doesn't want to seem too greedy, she lets it stay on your plate and just steals it from there. Which normally you wouldn't mind and truthfully, you don't mind today, except for the fact that earlier she had already scooted her chair closer to you and somehow both of you, throughout the meal, had started leaning into each other, so now you were pretty much shoulder to shoulder and you could feel every move she made with her arm. Of course, this wasn't a big deal since friends rubbed shoulders with other friends all the time… so why were you so nervous right now? Realizing how inconvenient the current setup was, you felt Ahyeon move her shoulder away which allowed you to breathe a sigh of relief; but then you felt a tap on your shoulder. Turning your head to face her, you look at her inquisitively.

"Swap spots with me so I can eat your food"

"Why don't you just take my plate?"

"Just swap spots with me"

"But"

"Swap with me"

Giving up, you say "Okay okay"

Swapping seats with Ahyeon, you start to sit down, but before you can, Ahyeon pulls your chair (formerly hers) exactly where it was previously when she was sitting there. You look at her confused which she just brushes past and sits down in her (your) seat. Not wanting to argue about it, especially since there is really nothing to fight about, just Ahyeon being odd, you sit down.

"Turn towards me" Ahyeon says to you.

"Huh, okay" you say before doing as she asked.

What you don't expect is Ahyeon to turn her body, so she is now parallel with the table and then reclining back so she was using your chest as a backrest while she leisurely eats your food and listens to the rest of the girls conversation. Unable to understand what is happening, you sit there stunned as she just eats away and laughs at a funny thing Chiquita said. So, while Ahyeon is having a grand old time talking and eating with her friends while using you as backrest, you are sitting there with your heart beating a minute, trying to figure out what the hell is happening. But of course, your good friend Ruka notices and gives you a wink when she sees your predicament. Then of course you feel a vibration on your wrist, and you raise your Apple watch to see a text from Chiquita "Having fun there big guy" which you reply to with a mouthed "Fuck you".

"Well Asa and I have to go to the library and do some research for our history paper, but we'll see you all later" Pharita says before her and Asa stand up and leave the lunchroom.

You and the others say "Bye" as they leave; but Asa pats you on your head like a dog. You try to turn so you can give her the finger, but when you start to move, Ahyeon releases a non-verbal complaint which forces you to stop moving and return to your original position as a backrest.

The rest of the day goes by relatively quickly, especially since you had a later lunch block, so you only had a few classes in the afternoon. After lunch, you said your goodbyes to the girls and walked Ahyeon to her class before heading to yours. After the final bell, you packed up your things, said goodbye to your homies, and went to meet up with the girls of Babymonster. Walking to your normal meetup spot, you see all 7 girls waiting for you.

"Y/N hurry up" Chiquita yells.

"I'm coming I'm coming"

"So, what's everyone doing over the weekend?" you ask.

"Rami and I are going to an art show," Rora says.

"I'm teaching Chiquita Origami" Ruka adds.
