That was the constant sound that echoed throughout the office. The white walls that surrounded you were honestly an eye sore, probably a way to keep the employees working on their computers. 

New Car Development or NCD. The name of the company which you are currently working at. Being the best of the best when it comes to vehicle improvements and enhancements, this company had its fair share of people fighting for a position in this company. “NEW KID GO MAKE ME SOME COPIES OF THIS MONTH'S EXPENSE REPORTS!.”

You did say you didn’t care what your job was but as an intern, you were just one of the several errand boys or girls of the company. Opening up the documents to the expense reports of the third floor you print out the first copy to the local printer. Your legs drag you over to the device as you see the five pages waiting for you. 

Pulling the pages from the copier you begin your travel to the basement, where the copy room is. Entering the elevator fills your ears with the bland Elevator music that plays whenever you are in them. Soon the doors close as you select the button down to the basement. Slowly the elevator moves down a level, the Dumb music nearly driving you to fall asleep standing up.

Shaking your head brings you back to your senses as the doors open.

The cheerful tone that came from her mouth could let you know who it wasn’t even if you didn’t see her. Hayoung entered the elevator and then selected the button to the lobby.

Being on the younger side of your friend group the majority of them were already full-fledged employees within the company. 

“Ah noona. I’m just heading down to the basement to get some copies of expense reports made.” 

“I still remember my intern days. The nonstop work hence long nights, being called a new kid or just an intern. I’m sure with a bit more time you will get your permanent position here.” 

“Yeah, I hope that day comes soon.” 

Soon the sound of the elevator stopping and opening gets your attention as the doors show you to the lobby. 

“Well, Duho. It was a nice little chat but I’m going to get lunch with Gyuri. Good luck with the rest of your day.” 

“Bye noona!” 

Once more the sight of the elevator doors appears as you move back down one more floor, arriving at the basement. Stepping out of the elevator you begin your walk down the old and smelly hallway passing by several empty offices. Eventually, your short exodus ends when you arrive at the door at the end of the hallway. Opening the door, you walk in and see sheets of paper all around. The blinking red light you see from the copier tells you it needs to be filled with some more paper. 

“JUST A SECOND!” 

All you can do is chuckle at the small grunts you hear from the back of the room. Hearing the dragging of a box tells you they are grabbing more paper for the copier. Seeing the figure slowly pull the box lets you know they need help. Your legs drag you closer to the girl as you pick up the box and put it next to the copier. 

“Thanks for the help Oppa. You know how much I hate it down here.” 

“Of course. I can’t just stand here seeing you struggle Jiheon.” 

The sight of her famous eye smile warms your heart. It was one of your favorite things to see in the entire world. 

Baek Jiheon. One of the 10 other new employees that were hired. Not only that, she was the youngest member of your whole friend group, Fromis_9. The two of you bonded even more as you were in several classes together as well as graduated together. 

“I despise being down here in the copy room. Almost no one comes down here to get copies made! I just sit here waiting and even playing on my phone gets boring.”

“Aish so stupid. This is why we have email also.”

“Well if one of us ever makes it to the top we better change this rule.” 

Small giggles fill the room as you both laugh, hoping that one day will come. 

“Oh did you need something Oppa?” 

“Ah yes. The floor chief sent me to make copies of the expense reports. It’s most likely for the team meeting this afternoon. Could I bother you for about ten copies of each page?” 

“Sure thing!” 

Handing over the expense reports to Jiheon she then proceeds to put the papers in the document scanner. Once the copier scans your papers it begins the process to make the copies. 

“Well, now we just wait then.” 

“Yeah, now we wait.” 

As you are about to say something to Jiheon you notice a smirk appear on her face. That same smirk you have seen several times before she got wild. 

“Oppa. Trade with me. I’ll go back upstairs with the expense reports and you spend the week down here in the copy room.” 

“Jiheon no. You know I hate it down here just as much as you do. Plus I already took your shift down here the past two weeks.” 

“I know Oppa and I am so so grateful but if you could take one more week down here I would be so so happy.” 

Jiheon then walks over to the door to the copy room and locks it . The deadly smirk continued as she walked closer to you, twirling a strand of her hair in her fingers. 

“Oppa. Come on. How about we make a compromise like all the other times?” 

Jiheon finally stands right in front of you as her hands pull you closer to her body. The warmth radiating off of her is intense. You can feel Jiheon’s breath on your ear as she begins to speak.
