Following the expansion to the prayer system and change to daily limits, some new opportunities have opened up with the system. I’ll cover each individually and explain their mechanics.
Peace
This is the standard prayer rewarding one or more cards on success. I estimate the success is somewhere around 60-70%.
I usually use this as long as I have at least two open slots in the prayer limit and I’m not planning on doing something else. The reason to leave two slots open is that I’m pretty sure you can’t get two cards if you’re at 9/10, and the odds of getting two cards seems decent enough to consider as a possibility.
Happiness
This refills all Shrine charges on success. I estimate the success is around 50%, though I’m not explicitly tracking the rate.
I use this when I’ve filled up my Peace limit, or in conjunction with Glory (discussed below). 3/4/5 more shrine charges is never really bad. Since it refills all charges, it should only be used when you have none.
Abundance
I think this one changed recently but didn’t get mentioned. It says it raises daily caps by 25% for 2h, but this is not exactly what happens. The increase in your daily limit seems to be based off of your total daily limit, including passive, as I got 8 more drops when my cap is 30 (30 × 25% = 7.5, rounding up to 8). These additional drops show up on their own “Abundance” row in the Shrine’s info panel, and can be filled by any method AFAIK, since they filled up with both reading and prayer.
It also states there’s a two hour time limit, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t the case. While active, I didn’t see a timer like you do with the Prosperity or Glory prayer; instead, the row for Abundance disappeared once I got my 8 drops. While I didn’t time it myself, I’m relatively sure it took me longer than 2 hours to do that.
If you’ve experienced anything different, please comment and I will amend this section. This prayer has a 3 day cooldown on success, so this section is based on the one time I have used it. I succeeded on the 3rd try.
Prosperity
Increases your card drop rate by +50% on success.
I haven’t used this one since I haven’t felt the need, but it’s good for getting drops quickly. As anyone who’s been in a featured treehouse will know, +50% makes you max out quite fast.
Glory
If successful, this prayer grants you a global -33% failure rate on all shrine actions for 2 hours. I’ve used this once and succeeded on the 4th try.
-33% is pretty good, functioning as essentially a free same group bonus on all shrine actions. It stacks multiplicatively with the standard Power buffs, which is expected to prevent 100% success being too easy.
For example, when upgrading a Q10 rare, we have a 60% base rate and 40% failure rate.
With just a 20% same quality bonus, we now have a 32% failure rate, calculated as 40 * (1-.2).
With the Glory bonus, we now have a 21.4% failure rate, calculated as 32 * (1-.33).
This is quite a useful power to use when you have a lot of Q10s to upgrade, as upgrading is when most people use power. Intermediary actions to get a power card like wishing for Love or using Success are also easier. By saving a bunch of Q10s and using Happiness in conjunction, you can do something like this in the 2 hour window:

I was able to upgrade 9 cards and incorporate love/success wishes as well. If I wanted to reduce failure odds further, I could’ve used power on every action, but this is up to you.
The only other thing that has changed since I wrote the first chapter is that the Beauty increase/decrease has been opened up to ±8 from 3. This makes it a lot easier overall, especially on rares, though I would still stand by the general strategy I wrote in the first chapter.
Also, if anyone out there is interested in actually collecting rates, I’ll happily contribute, but I’m a bit lazy to do everything myself. Have fun praying!
