For those who have read my stuff, how do I write? How do I … read? To you? I’m trying to improve. I really am. But it often feels like listening to my own voice as I speak. It’s cringey. It’s … grating. And I can’t focus on anything objectively. To me, I feel like I just … write whatever comes to mind? I’m highly insecure of how I believe I don’t care as much about how something is presented, and just … put readers into the minds/shoes of characters. I fear there’s no form for that function, and it irks me so. If writing’s anything like cooking, in my head, at least, I think I’m no fine dining.
