From:Zyology Hi acorn! This is random, i just wanted to ask! Like it actually might be rrlated to the story, but do you think black is the presence or the absence of all colors? Idk i just wanted to relate that to voidborn and its a question i used to ponder about as a kid! Thank u acorn!
Hmmmm I dont think its random? But I will neither confirm nor deny about the question and theory to Prism Hearts! Lemme answer it with my botched science knowledge. I see it both ways! For the scientific way, the reason why we see colours is through the reflection of light of particular wavelengths into our eyes. So for green, the object that is green absorbs the lights of other wavelengths, and the reflects light of green wavelength into our eyes. Now for black it's a little different. The reason why we view black as black is because it absorbs all wavelengths and reflects none. So nothing gets reflected into our eyes. If you ask me, there are two perspectives. The first being the absence of colours to us, because nothing reaches us. But it also means that black is also the presence of all colours since it absorbs all wavelengths of light! There is also the belief of black = nothingness, and thus, there is the thought of it containing nothing. And as for its significance, I would rather think of it like a half filled glass problem. Is if half filled, half empty, or 50/50, or a problem with the water itself. It is up to the perspective and thoughts of the person itself! Thank you for coming to my TED talk, it was a fun one! As for relating this to Voidborn, that depends on you as a reader! To you, what do you classify as emotions, and what does it mean to be naught of any?
