Pretend you're about to post your first fic again. If you can tell your debut self one thing about the future, what would you tell them?

Thank you for the letter! About writing? Too much stuff tbh. But if I could summarize the main things I learned over time and the main thing I still need to work on, I'd say it's 'showing rather than telling'. It's very easy to write stuff like I would write school assignments, very bland and describing everything in detail. Not leaving anything up to imagination. Telling the reader how to feel instead of causing them to feel a certain way. Realizing that not every single little bit of info needs to be spoon-fed to the reader is a big one for me. I see writing a fic like a puzzle now. It's no fun if you hand it to someone already solved! (If you meant life-wise, then I would tell myself to invest in Nvidia or buy gold... LOL)
