⭐ I just want to share one of the first few fics I read when I first joined the community. Feverish by @ddeun perfectly captured the vibe back then during the pandemic. I remember reading this for the first time and being so enamored with how well Haseul was written and how much it aligned with the way I see her in a fictional light. It was a tough time back then, and this was one of the few pieces that helped transport me into a different world, a fantasy that feels so nicely lived in, albeit extremely spicy (it was hard being alone for most of quarantine). This piece highlights how creatively ddeun uses the second-person perspective and bends the rules a bit to narrate Haseul’s POV. It’s truly simple but masterful. I still geek out over how smoothly it transitions and how it never breaks immersion while reading. For a piece that was written a long time ago, this fic still teaches me things I can geek out over even on my 100th reread. Please give it a shot if you haven’t read it yet.
