It’s so exciting seeing all the brand new writers who decided to give it a shot because of Fanprose. To those of you who actually write (people entering a prompt into their LLM of choice and then copy pasting it are NOT included in this, that does not count as writing in my opinion), welcome to the community! I’ve found a handful of new names through the Challenge I’m hosting — by the way, you still have time to join and submit — and it has (mostly) been such a lovely experience reading the hard work people have put into their stories. I don’t care if it’s only a couple hundred words, I appreciate the EFFORT it takes to WRITE a story. Just know my DMs are open to anyone who might be looking for advice or feedback on their writing, especially those of you who are just starting out and perhaps find it a bit daunting to approach other writers — I still remember when I first started, I know how it feels.
